DIY Star Garland
Can you give us a step-by-step guide to recreating the star garland?
1. Paint your wooden stars. This is a great kiddo activity and the perfect way for them to be involved and help!
2. Attach the larger stars with embroidery thread to your rope.
3. Use yarn to attach the smaller stars to the rope, tie it off and trim!
Where do you find inspiration for your holiday ideas?
Ever since adopting our daughter, Nova, a few weeks before Christmas, we have always done a lot of star decor. I love stars and they have an extra special meaning for our family.
How do you plan to celebrate the holidays this year? What are you most looking forward to?
Since I have two small children I am looking forward to all of it! It's the happiest years right now. We go all-in with the elf. We will make cookies and homemade gifts and listen to Dolly Parton Christmas songs all season. I definitely look forward to Christmas morning, too—just to see their reactions to their gifts. It's magical.
Any tips for getting the littlest ones involved?
My children (ages 5 and 2) love to make gifts for their friends and family. Currently they are into painting rocks, making homemade ornaments and homemade cards for their grandparents.
