Virgo is the most attentive and diligent sign of the zodiac. No detail goes unnoticed by them, and they like to be of service or feel like they're always engaging in something productive. If you have a Virgo child, they may like to do little acts of kindness for others. They will usually remember a friend's birthday, and they may go out of their way to cheer someone up when they're down. Your Virgo might also get a lot of enjoyment from helping out around the house, and they may even ask to do chores.
Virgos are interested in self-improvement, and they like everything they do to be perfect. However, your child may feel like they're never doing enough, and they might be dissatisfied with their achievements. It's important to teach them that they shouldn't be so self-critical. Showing your Virgo how to be less hard on themselves and more compassionate towards themselves and their peers will help them when they're feeling down. Providing structure for your child by making sure they follow a set everyday routine will also help calm their nerves.
If You're a Fire Sign...
If you are an Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius parent to a Virgo, it may take some time to understand your child's approach to life. You like to dive headfirst into new experiences without much planning beforehand, while your Virgo child might be more hesitant and will want to go over the details first. However, you are both able to learn from one another. Your child might be able to show you areas in which you could be more strategic and organized, while you are able to teach them to be more optimistic and confident in unfamiliar social situations.
You may want to push your Virgo to get involved in after-school activities, especially sports or any other form of play that gets them out and moving around. You might also enjoy walks on the weekend together or exploring a new place together. Because your Virgo child can get in their head a lot, you are able to show them that not everything has to be perfect and that sometimes it's better to just act on an idea or an urge, rather than worry about if they're making the right decision.
If You're an Earth Sign…
If you are a Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn parent to a Virgo, you and your child are probably on the same page about a lot of things. Because you are so similar, you can help your child overcome problems you yourself may have had experience with. You are able to teach them how to channel any nervous energy into productive activities, and you may enjoy showing your Virgo how to help out around the house, whether this is letting them cook with you or assigning weekly chores. Helping them with their schoolwork may also be a point of pride for you, and you can teach your child how to be patient and keep at a task, even if it's difficult at first.
You and your Virgo might also have a love for doing things in a particular order. Having a specific routine is soothing for your child, so you may want to allot certain times for bed, play, chores, etc. However, try not to be overly critical of your child or place super high expectations on them since they are already prone to doing this just as much as you are.
If You're an Air Sign...
If you are a Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius parent to a Virgo, you are able to help your child better organize all of their thoughts. Virgo can be an overthinker, and their minds never seem to rest. A lot of the time, your Virgo child might get caught up in worrying about little details that don't matter, so you can help them step back and look at the bigger picture in life. You may want to introduce them to more of the world through traveling together or by giving them books and teaching them about interesting subjects. You can encourage your Virgo to tap into their strong mental abilities by continuing to learn outside of the classroom.
When it comes to socializing, your Virgo might be critical of their peers without realizing it, so you can also show them how to better communicate what they want to others. In return, your child will teach you about how to have more structure in your life. You aren't really someone who follows the rules and you may like to march to the beat of your own drum, but your Virgo may push you to develop a set schedule.
If You're a Water Sign...
If you are a Cancer, Scorpio, or Pisces parent to a Virgo, you are able to offer strong emotional support for your child. You might be very sensitive to their mood changes, and because you're so intuitive you're often able to get to the real root of why your child is upset or anxious. Since your Virgo is prone to overanalyzing, you may also want to teach them how to tune into their emotional side and listen to their instinctual feelings when making a decision.
You and your Virgo child might both be a little introverted, so you may love spending time at home together, and you can help them tap into their creativity. Virgo tends to like detail oriented tasks, so they might prefer playing with small Lego pieces, setting up a doll house, or building other structures or crafts. You are also skilled at coming up with ideas and going off into your own fantasy world, so you can keep your Virgo entertained by building out elaborate stories that go with their toys.
