On February 9, 1969, the most famous and one of the largest long-range jet passenger planes took to the air for the first time. The Boeing 747, also known as the "Jumbo Jet", was designed by the American company Boeing in the 1960s and entered commercial use in 1970. Its distinctive appearance, with the main passenger deck located on top of the hull, is its defining feature. The Boeing 747, as one of the largest passenger aircraft in the world, can accommodate over 600 passengers in a typical configuration. It was initially used mainly on intercontinental routes but is now in service with many airlines around the world. The last Boeing 747 was produced on December 6, 2022. Over 54 years, a total of 1,574 Jumbo Jets in various versions were produced and delivered. The block model from COBI goes back to the roots of the legend of the skies. Over a thousand elements are used to create a detailed model in a scale of 1:144, the painting of which refers to the historic first flight of this famous jet. Specially designed elements and high-quality prints make the model a delight not only for block modelers, but also civil aviation enthusiasts of all ages! Once built, the plane is 46cm long and has a wingspan of 42cm. The engines contain movable turbines that can be rotated. Build the history of civil aviation, brick by brick, with COBI!
