SUPER SCULPEY ULTRALIGHT: WHITE - 8OZ - Super Sculpey Ultralight is light enough for jewelry-making but strong enough for larger mixed media projects, home decor, cosplay creations, and keepsake handprint projects! As the most lightweight clay offered by Sculpey, this ultralight compound is versatile, soft and easier to work with than aluminum foil. You can buff, drill and sand Super Sculpey Ultralight as well as paint it with acrylic paints. Store it for later use when you're done it won't dry out! This clay is safe and nontoxic and remains flexible and soft until baked in your home oven. Simply work the lightweight clay into your desired shapes and then bake it to set. Other uses for Super Sculpey Ultralight include: Filler for larger beads, Paper crafts, especially for personalized embellishments, Keepsake handprint ornaments, Paw print ornaments, Armatures for sculptures, Clay pendants and bangles, Clay coasters, Hanging planters. BAKING: Polymer Oven Bake Clay - Sculpey clay conforms to ASTM D-4236 and EN 71 safety standards, it is non-toxic and safe to use in your home oven. Simply make your polymer oven bake clay creation and bake in your home or toaster oven at 275 F for about 15-30 minutes depending on the size of your creation. After baking, it can be sanded, drilled, carved and painted with water-based acrylic paints. This oven bake clay will not dry out, so you can take your time crafting and not have to rush to finish your projects like you do with air dry clay. STORAGE INFORMATION: Our products contain a date code that indicates the date of production, but not “sell by date”. Oven-bake clays, when stored correctly in a cool, dry place, below 77F and out of direct sunlight, have an expected shelf life of a few years. Shelf life can be impacted by environmental conditions, including heat and humidity, during shipping and storage. We store the clay at Polyform in a cool and dry environment. Improper storage may affect the quality of the clay. One aspect of oven-bake clays is that they react to very warm temperatures. Proper polymer clay storage is essential to freshness. The clay should be stored in a clay compatible container in a very cool, dry place, unexposed to the direct rays of the sun. We recommend containers or bags made out of polypropylene (PP) plastic. Hint: Look for the recycling symbol #5 on the bottom of the container. DO NOT store in a hot environment above 77F. DO NOT store in direct sunlight. DO NOT store inside a car. Make your craft supplies shopping your last stop. Store the clay in a cool, dark and dry place. Polymer clay can be stored at low temperatures with no ill effects to the properties of the clay. Tip: Refrigeration or freezing can extend the shelf life considerably. In the summer months, the clay may become partially cured if your climate is very hot and your house is not air-conditioned.
