One day, while watching her kids play on a rug, Lorena had a thought: “Why can’t we wash our children’s rugs at home?” Today, Lorena Canals offers a huge range of machine washable rugs that are chic and cozy, but most importantly – functional. All Lorena Canals rugs undergo an extensive handmade elaboration process based on the selection of the best raw materials, the use of natural dyes, the control of non-child labor in the production process and the compliance of quality and safety regulations for children. Best of all: the brand donates a large portion of their proceeds to provide schooling for children in northern India.
- Material / Ingredients / Care
- Machine wash the rug (capacity 9kg or more) separately using a delicate, max 30ºC program. Do not use a washing machine with a center centrifuge / agitator, as it may damage the rug. Use a mild detergent, and do not use softeners or bleach. Select low spin speed if the rug has braids, fringes or pom poms. Do not leave the wet rug in the washer, as colors may run or stain. Tumble dry at low temperature. Avoid drying in the sun. We recommend regular vacuum cleaning using a low-power suction mode and a high-pile setting. Do not use a beater bar or any other rotating accessories which may damage the pile. We do not recommend the use of floor cleaning robots. If you find any long or loose yarns, cut these using a pair of scissors. Do not pull the yarns.
