- Description
The Bigjigs Rail Heritage Collection offers a delightful range of replicas from the golden age of rail, including Terrier Loco (Red). Designed by William Stroudley, the A1 class is an English class of steam locomotive. The engines were more famously known as "Terriers" because of the distinctive 'barking' sound they made. A total of 50 were built in 1872 at Brighton works, and were trains that ran on the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. A great addition to any wooden train set. Complete with one piece of wooden track and a buffer. Encourages creative and imaginative role play. Magnetic couplings ensure compatibility with all other engines and carriages in the Bigjigs Rail range. Most other major wooden railway brands are compatible with Bigjigs Rail. Made from high quality, responsibly sourced materials.
About Bigjigs Toys: Bigjigs Toys all began in Peter Ireland’s garden shed in Kent, England in 1985. Peter hand crafted wooden jigsaws which he and wife Liz sold at craft fairs all over the UK. The business has grown enormously since then but remains family run. Grandchildren Arthur and Edith even get involved with testing the toys! It really is a family affair. 35 years and counting...
